The Comprehensive Project for Elevator Construction Includes:
Equipment: grain storage facilities, dryers, conveyors, hangars, gate valves.
Elevator infrastructure includes:
- Reception pits
- Transfer facilities with movable galleries
- Storage facilities (silos)
- Garages for machinery
Elevator – Grain Storage and Handling
An elevator is a structure designed to store large quantities of grain and bring it to the required condition. It is a highly-mechanized silo-type grain storage facility.
Composition of an elevator:
- Working towers
- Silo buildings
- Devices for loading and unloading grain
- Grain dryers and other equipment
Types of elevators:
- Reception and procurement
- Production
- Basic
- Transshipment and port
Features and Technologies
The main part of an elevator is the silos used for grain storage. Both conical and flat-bottom silos are employed for storage volumes ranging from 200 to 900 tons. For larger storage needs (1,000 to 15,000 tons), flat-bottom silos are more practical.
